Hale Allen grew up on a small mountaintop chicken farm, where he developed his love for art, wildlife and the natural world.
He studied with sculptor Joe Moss and landscape architect Ted Browning while at University of Delaware. After which, Hale studied with master oil painter, James McGinley for 4 years at Newark School of Fine Arts and Industrial Design, with 2 years continued study at The Art Students League in NYC.
Hale received a Master’s in Painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in 1994.
